The Johnny Stewart Attractor DT1 from Hunter Specialties is a digital handheld caller with remote that is used to attract whitetail deer.

It is actually two units, a base unit and a remote.
The base unit opens up and can be set on a shelf in your deer blind or hung from a tree or branch from the unit's lanyard. The base caller features five pre-programmed, 16-bit, digitally mastered sounds: Buck Grunt, Doe Bleat, Estrus Bleat, Rattling, and Snort/Wheeze. The 30 second sounds can be played continuously or stopped with the STOP SOUND button. The attractor unit uses four AA batteries, has a water-resistant speaker cover, and puts out 90 decibels of sound.
The remote has a range of 50 yards which allows the hunter to hang the base unit far enough away to avoid calling attention to themselves. It uses one 12-volt battery and has non-slip push buttons for each of the five calls and a stop call button.
We used it last deer season and found it to be a great tool. The sounds were very realistic and although we didn't attract any monster bucks, the call scared the heck out of the smaller bucks that we used it on.
We found the Deer Attractor call to be tough and dependable. We had it hanging in a spruce tree in 10 degree temperatures and a steady snowfall and it performed without a glitch. It was light-weight and easy to carry and eliminated the need to carry three or four calls in my hunting backpack.
Of course, check your state's hunting regulations to see if electronic calls for whitetail deer are legal in your state.
The Johnny Stewart Attractor DT1 will run you about $35 and you can find one at several online stores. I ordered mine from Cheaper Than Dirt but Cabelas has them also.

This is how the moon looks right now.
